The Australian Institute of Sport and Recreation (AISR) is registered with the Department of Education Queensland to provide Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools. VET in schools is a Nationally Recognised Training program that is available to secondary school students as part of their school curriculum. During the school year, students can explore a career path by enrolling in our Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation course designed specifically for secondary school students.
Students can study towards completing the qualification whilst at school utilising our online learning portal or workbooks for a few hours a week and then attend our recreational facilities for the skill set development. Alternatively you can complete the entire learning activity by attending one or several of our facilities on an organised daily schedule per semester or attend a camp fulltime for several days or weeks. The AISR Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation offers students quality training in a diverse range of skill sets, career advice and the opportunity to enhance future career prospects. Because AISR conducts training at several facilities offering a range of services to a variety of customer bases from Certificate II to Diploma the student is in the best environment to discover a suitable career path and opportunities in the industry. Students can continue study with ASIR to Diploma level and work experience may be gained in one or several of our facilities which may help create job outcomes (Diploma of Recreation Management creates an excellent pathway to entry level management in the industry). A VET course at AISR will provide the following benefits to students:
